GENERAL NOTES
• Attendance for Saturday’s game at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium was 82,181 to mark OU’s 125th straight home
sellout, or every game since the start of the 1999 season.
• The Sooners improved to 43-11-1 all-time as the No. 4 team in the AP poll.
• Oklahoma scored 70 points for the first time since 2007 (a 79-10 season-opening home win over North Texas). It was the 12th
time since 1937 (when the NCAA began keeping statistics) that OU has scored at least 70 points in a game.
• The Sooners gained at least 700 yards of total offense (733; 423 passing, 310 rushing) for the 13th time in program history. Seven
of those occasions have come since the start of the 2015 season (when Lincoln Riley arrived in Norman). The yardage total ranks
ninth all-time in program history.
• Tonight marked the 42nd time in 56 games since the start of the 2015 season that OU registered at least 500 yards of total
offense, and the 22nd time in that span the Sooners topped 600 yards of total offense.
• The Sooners rushed for 300 yards and passed for 300 yards for the 12th time in program history (seventh time in the last two
seasons and sixth time in the last nine games).
• Tonight marked OU’s 17th 300-yard rushing game since the start of the 2015 campaign. It is the 303rd time in program history the
Sooners have rushed for at least 300 yards in a contest.
• OU averaged 10.62 yards per offensive play (733 total yards on 69 plays), the second straight week the Sooners have averaged at
least 10.0 yards per play. It was the seventh-highest yards-per-play average in school history (record is 11.96 against West Virginia
in 2017). It was the 14th time in school history OU has averaged at least 10.0 yards per play. Eleven of those have occurred since the
start of the 2016 season (the other three were in 1971, ’80 and ’86).
• Oklahoma averaged 7.95 yards per rush after averaging 9.57 last week against Houston. This marks only the second time in
program history the Sooners have averaged at least 7.5 yards per rush in consecutive games.
• OU’s 75 offensive TDs of 40-plus yards since 2015 lead the country. Entering the day, Clemson was the Power Five program with
the next most (55).
• Eleven Sooners caught a pass in the game, and 10 different players scored a touchdown (nine offensive, one defensive). Three
different quarterbacks recorded a passing TD.
• The Oklahoma defense recorded three takeaways for the first time since 2017 at Oklahoma State. It was the first time OU turned
in a plus-three turnover margin since 2016 at West Virginia.
• The Sooners held South Dakota scoreless in the first half. It was the first time since the 2018 season opener against Florida
Atlantic that OU held it opponent to no points in the opening half.
• Oklahoma scored at least 20 points in the first half (28 today) for the 26th time in the last 30 games.
• The Sooners have scored at least 30 points in 38 of their last 40 games (29 and 28 in the others), and have won 36 of those 40.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
QB JALEN HURTS
• Completed 14 of 18 passes for 259 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed eight times for 47 yards. He compiled a 253.6 passing
efficiency rating, his second straight game with a rating better than 250 (matches the total number of games with a 250.0-plus
rating Kyler Murray had all of last season). Hurts has thrown six passing TDs and rushed for three more through two games.
WR TREJAN BRIDGES
• Scored his first career touchdown on a 9-yard reception from QB Spencer Rattler in the fourth quarter.
• Finished the game with three catches for 43 yards and a score.
RB KENNEDY BROOKS
• Registered his first rushing touchdown of the season and the 13th of his career on a 13-yard play in the second quarter.
• Finished the game with 69 yards and a touchdown on six carries.
DL NEVILLE GALLIMORE
• Forced a fumble in the second quarter – OU’s first takeaway of the season. It was his first forced fumble of the season and the fourth
of his career.
• Finished the game with three tackles (two solo, one for loss), a forced fumble and a QB hurry.
H-BACK JEREMIAH HALL
• Scored his second career touchdown on an 8-yard reception from QB Jalen Hurts in the first quarter. It was his second TD in as
many games.
WR JADON HASELWOOD
• Scored his first career touchdown on a 14-yard reception from QB Tanner Mordecai in the third quarter.
• Finished the game with three catches for 78 yards and a touchdown (26.0 yards per catch).
WR CEEDEE LAMB
• Finished the game with 144 yards and a touchdown on six catches, an average of 24.0 yards per catch.
• Scored his second touchdown of the season on a 7-yard reception from QB Jalen Hurts in the first quarter. It was his 20th career TD catch,
ranking him ninth in OU history.
• Became only the 12th Sooner to record 100 receiving yards in the first quarter. His 112 yards in the first period (five catches) are sixth most
among the group.
RB MARCUS MAJOR
• True freshman saw his first game action and rushed five times for 12 yards.
QB TANNER MORDECAI
• Finished the game 6 of 8 for 114 yards and two touchdowns, career bests in completions, passing yards and touchdowns.
• Threw his first career touchdown pass (14-yards to WR Jadon Haselwood in the third quarter).
WR CHARLESTON RAMBO
• Scored a touchdown for the second straight game, hauling in a 7-yard pass from QB Jalen Hurts in the second quarter.
• Tallied three catches for 30 yards.
DB BRENDAN RADLEY-HILES
• Recorded Oklahoma’s first takeaway of the season, recovering a fumble forced by DL Neville Gallimore in the second quarter.
• Captured the Sooners’ first interception of the year in the third quarter and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown. It was OU’s first
interception returned for a touchdown since Parnell Motley returned an INT 77 yards against Tulane in 2017.
•Also recorded a tackle for loss (two total stops).
QB SPENCER RATTLER
• True freshman saw his first game action and completed all four passes he attempted, tallying 50 yards and a touchdown. Also
rushed twice for a total of 15 yards.
DL JALEN REDMOND
• Made his first career start. Finished the game with two tackles, one sack, 1.5 tackles for loss and one QB hurry.
RB TREY SERMON
• Notched his first rushing touchdown of the season and the 19th of his career on a 1-yard plunge in the third quarter.
• Rushed nine times for 56 yards and a touchdown.
RB RHAMONDRE STEVENSON
• Scored a touchdown for the second straight week, racing 75 yards for a score in the third quarter. It was OU’s longest scrimmage
play of the season and the longest rushing play since Kyler Murray ran 75 yards for a TD against Kansas last season.
• Rushed for a team-high 104 yards and a touchdown on six carries (17.3 average).

• Notched his first career reception on a four-yard catch in the fourth quarter. Tallied two catches for 15 yards.
