Lincoln Riley

* "If someone doesn't agree with me I'm not mad at them," says Riley on the intraconference rule change. "There's a lot of people that have the same opinion and don't speak out".
* Riley says they've pushed Spencer Rattler pretty hard physically from the end of the season to now. More of an understanding in the things they are doing offensively. Continued evolution of the offense must happen ... "in football you never get it ... the improvement (must be) constant"
* Riley says Caleb Williams is doing well ... getting a lot of reps. Does a good job making plays outside of the pocket, throws well on the move.
* Caleb Williams (Gonzaga Prep) and Billy Bowman (Denton Ryan) are still finishing high school classes online while also taking classes at OU. Woah. Didn't know that.
* Says it was huge that they were able to get Jalen Redmond back for bowl practices. Adds Redmond has had a great spring, "He's a pain in the butt to block ... he's really in a good place. physcially, mentally ... everything. He's just really in a good place". Adds he thought it was big for the team as a whole that he came back and handled everything the way that he did.
* Doesn't sound like Riley would be in favor of crossover spring games versus real opponents rather than playing themselves in an intrasquad game. Says it would be worth having the conversation but there are too many variables that would go in to actually playing a real game. Likes the controlled environment of an intrasquad game.
* Riley asked about standouts from spring and honestly I don't know if he's trolling or just giving us the middle finger: says he feels like Justin Broiles, Tyrese Robinson and Erik Swenson have had really, really good springs. *Runs and hides*
* Jeremiah Hall named as a player with a really good spring.

Spencer Rattler

* Breaking: Rattler wants to be the best quarterback in the country next season.
* Asked about leadership on the offensive side of the ball says Jeremiah Hall has been a guy that has really stepped up; says he had a nice speech to the team this morning.
* Says Mikey Henderson is doing really well in the backfield. "He's picked up on everything really well". Very much sounds like he's excelling at getting his hands on the ball in space. Surprise!
* on Jadon Haselwood/Trejan Bridges this spring: "those are our top two weapons" ... notes the chemistry he's built with Trejan Bridges all the way back in high school 7on7 stuff at the Opening, etc.
* on Mario Williams: "He'll be a good player for our offense"
* Everyone is thankful for spring football
* Guys catching Rattler's attention: Jadon Haselwood, Trejan Bridges, Marvin Mims, Jeremiah Hall ... Young guys include: Mario Williams and Cody Jackson
* on Eric Gray: "Explosive ... he can make one cut and he's gone" ... says he had an 80-yard touchdown a few days ago

Marquis Hayes

* Says it will be a little different not playing alongside Creed Humphrey. Young guys have a great mentality despite Humphrey leaving big shoes to fill.
* Says he was around 342 during the season last year; today he weighed in at 324. Hopes to keep sliming down, can feel the weight loss as something that will be a huge positive in his play.
* Hayes said the decision to comeback to school really wasn't that tough of a decision; didn't have the kind of tape that would allow him to do so.
* Says he would have tried Lincoln Riley's brisket. Adds he's had the offense and the offensive line over to the Riley family kitchen before and it's good cooking. "He didn't have it catered ... he really cooked it"
* Outside of the usual suspects when it comes to young guys on the OL (think Raym, for example) guys like Marcus Alexander, Darrell Simpson and Brey Walker have had good spring sessions.

Mikey Henderson

* Says the position change has gone really well with the help of everyone in the running back room
* Also adds he figured a position change might be on the horizon -- even when he was being recruited out of high school
* Sounds like he really likes playing/learning from DeMarco Murray
* Mikey doesn't know who Josh Norman is ... was he even alive when Norman was playing? (that's just me thinking outloud)
