Texas looks like OU when John Blake was coaching the team. The Longhorns are not ready for the SEC. LMAO. I love it.
They swing dildos in Austin these days. They're proud. Their administration promotes this ideology these days. Dang shame.

Florida was a 22.5 point favorite over South Carolina and lost by 23. They are now 4-5 on the season. I wonder if the used car salesman told the media that that wasn't Florida out there today.....
But wait they only lost to Bama by 2 points this year, so that is like two wins? Certainly the best 4-5 team in the country.

Got to thinking earlier during bama game. If LSU had won then Georgia and Bama meet in SEC Champ Game, Bama beats Georgia and they both get in . Bama with 2 losses Georgia with one.
I can see how they would spin it. Georgia was number 1 for most of the Season with impressive wins, Bama lost 2 sure but they beat a Great Georgia team and they are the SEC Champs so both teams deserve to go.
It still can happen, a one loss Bama team beats undefeated Georgia in SEC Title Game they both get in. I can see it happen. Hope not.

A post by a long-time Orangebloods member in the "Fire Sark" thread:

"Nobody wants this job dude. It’s an awful job. There are a dozen Jerrahs that think they know what’s best. There are no players who play with anger. Toxic masculinity is not allowed. Wokeness is encouraged. Football is just a casual hobby for the players that choose Texas."

No love lost on Texas, but the demise of the football program which historically has always been OU's biggest rival can't help add to OU's stature anymore, in addition to OU's feeble defensive play.
I dislike Texas more than any other CFB team. I just would rather have OU defeat good Texas teams every year than what I have seen in recent years. It makes bragging rights a lot more meaningful.
Big boy football (the SEC) lies ahead. Time for OU to take defensive football more seriously. Having to score 40 or more points to win games may be exciting, but it won't bring national championships. Great teams are balanced to perform well on both offense and defense.
OU is playing with what I consider one hand tied behind its back.....or with only 50% of a team. Defense betrayed them in 2008 and 2018 vs Texas, 2017 vs Georgia, Alabama in 2018, LSU in 2019, to name a few big games, as well as numerous upset losses. I have no reason to see this scenario end, but I'm hoping for a strong finish now and a stellar defensive recruiting haul by season's end.

Shorthorns are incapable of solid football over course of a full game. Pockets of good talent Robinson and Worthy are overshadowed by mediocrity and laziness. This team is a dumpster fire. Feeling some heat Sark...Mr 500?

V-Man, If OSU, OU, Georgia and Cincinnati win out, do you think that will be the playoff teams?
The bigger issue is if UGa loses to one loss Alabama. Then there will be two SEC teams in the Playoff.

I personally think tOSU is a little overrated. There is a difference in a team that can score 60 against a poor defense, and a team that can run the table against good defenses. Ohio State wasn't great on offense at home against Penn State, and on the road at Nebraska. I think they'll be challenged by both Michigan and Michigan State. Especially at Michigan, their only remaining road game, they might find the challenge this year, to be harder to overcome.

There is a long ways to go, including CCG's. I think when it all shakes out, OU will be in IF they win the next four games. Strangely, I think there is still a chance that OU doesn't make the CCG. This weekend will be very telling. I think it will also be very tough to beat OSU back too back, which is very likely if we win the next three.

My question was based on each team winning out. Your point is based on teams losing and I agree with your opinions. Of course, my biggest concern is how OU will finish knowing that the next three teams on the schedule are better than any team the Sooners have played thus far. Then having to beat one of them again in the B12 championship. That’s a lot to expect from a team that has had the problems we have so far. Of course, we could lose to one of the three and still qualify for the B12 and win the conference. If so, OU would need a lot of help to qualify for CFP as a one loss B12 member, IMO.

It's simple; one loss and we're toast. The committee is banking on a 1 loss Bama to beat Georgia and they both are in. Ohio State and Oregon win out and they're in with an Oklahoma loss. Cincy very well could stay ahead of us if they win out and don't look now but ND is creeping into the mix.

Georgia needs to win out and remove Bama, somebody nab Oregon again and Ohio State as well. And hope Houston takes care of Cincy for us. But mostly we just need to take care of business and remove the brakes on an ass kicking train.

There is another scenario that you can't rule out. With Texas A&M win over Auburn they sit in great position to actually represent the SEC west if Bama stumbles again. Imagine this committee looking at 2 loss AtM if they happen to represent and be the ones to knock of UGA. Would the Aggies get the same treatment as Bama as SEC conference champs?

With the way the Tide have been playing I would not rule out either Arkansas or Auburn knocking them off. Texas A&M could very well be the dark horse here.
