I personally think Alabama got two gifts by the replay booth in the first quarter which could have been game changers especially the TD pass the Bama WR who was juggling the ball.

Most teams would have rolled over being down 28-0 in the first quarter.

Nobody scored more points on Alabama all season than we did tonight.. OU did outscored them in the last 3 quarters.

I thought all in all this OU team gave a great effort and made us as OU fans proud.

BOOMER SOONER!

Boy talk about putting a positive spin on it. Since when did we start accepting moral victories?

No moral victory but the refs sucked especially in the 1sr quarter. They even tried to give Alabma another 1st quarter TD on the obviously incomplete forward pass which they called a lateral.that was fumbled and ran in for a TD.

That is when I screamed at the TV.

I agree the refs weren't all that great tonight......but its not why we lost.

When you get in a 28-0 hole to the number one team and defending National Champs with a defense like ours, you LOSE.
Forget the refs, give me a defense that can make a crucial stop when needed and an offensive gameplan that scores points before we are down 28 points. Poor game all around by the Sooners. Riley is still learning, hopefully some of it is sinking in.

We had all the momentum and Bama starting on their own 10 with the game starting to swing. What did we do? Let them drive 90 yards for a TD

Half the team stood around. Just not impressed with coaching this game. Someone mentioned earlier that LR was soft. It showed in this game more than last year. You cannot excuse a topsy turvy defense that plays as poorly as tonight. DL earned a grade F. Really pathetic effort.

I don't really think its a moral victory but I do believe the team showed heart in not giving up. The only positive one can really take from this loss is that the players unlike some of our past teams didn't lay over and quit.

Losses are never easy but Alabama was simply the much better team.

Bull the fumble review was correct I believe but I do agree with the bobbled pass completion for the TD should have been reversed. However the OU offense just didn't have a good first quarter and not being able to answer Bama's TD with a TD from OU was critical. Gotta give that Bama D credit as they dominated that opening quarter.

If my math is correct we just tied our longest period since the start of the AP poll (1936) between NC's. I don't think we will win another one until we get out of the Big 12. The conference identity has turned us into TT north. We cannot recruit great D players to a glorified 7/7 league. Watching Clemson and Alabama play defense is depressing to say the least.

Well said. I also was depressed watching Florida with a great defensive line shut down Michigan
Teams from The South...."Dixie".....rule CFB now.
In Alabama's case, Saban's annual talent haul not only extends in all the 11 states that formed The Confederacy, but also coast to coast, including Hawaii.
And what Dabo Sweeney has done at Clemson (in South Carolina) is almost as impressive....thanks in part to some guy named Brent Venables.
I also see Florida and Georgia being very good as well.

This class we have coming in is pretty good. We just need a DC and we can certainly win a title. The defense wasn’t nearly the problem last night it was the adjustment. The RPO slants were wide open each and every damn time. That’s adjustments that’s coaching. Hell I could’ve put a safety inside to stop that slant. That’s all that was. Tua didn’t even have to really break a sweat. Just pitch and catch. Cornelius could’ve beat us doing that.

Proud of the team for showing heart.

But Bama needed ZERO HELP from the refs to win this game. Bama could have rolled up 60+ easily if they had wanted to. All OU fans really should thank Saban for taking the foot off the gas and grinding clock literally the entire 2nd half. Bama would turn it on and get big plays and score just to stay ahead of OU.

No doubt they shortened the game after they got out to a big lead. But I also believe that had they scored 60, we would have scored at least in the high 40s. Not sure what Riley was thinking about those first few possessions, but once we settled in we were able to move it and score like we did on everyone else.

And for all of those bashing away, most of the nation said all year long that this Bama team might be the best in the history of college football. Yeah, it isn't fun to lose and I don't believe in "moral" victories. What I do believe in is recognizing the grit, effort, and competitiveness of those guys wearing crimson and cream last night. Sometimes, the other guy is just better than you.

This is not a time to trash your team. They had a hell of a year.

First review they got right. RB was down.

2nd they got wrong. Ball was moving so should have been incomplete.

Why are slumming it with us poors your highness?

Note: I'm being sarcastic and I'm sensing you're a bit of a bitch.

It’s actually a good question. I really don’t like you poors, but someone on the non-welfare board alerted me to this moronic post.

Yes, I am a full bitch. Now, get back to mowing my lawn.

I don't mow lawns. I do drywall repair and drill your wife while you're taking an extra long gaze at your best friends junk in the showers after losing a game of handball.

That's a confirmation.

And what did you expect from a poor?

If you'll excuse me, your check cleared so I'm going to take the old lady out to Olive Garden and Walmart.

You enjoy your night, drywall guy!

You're the only idiot I see on here. Or you haven't sobered up from last night. Relax, dude.

“Why are”? Lulz. Also, the second “I’m” is redundant. LMAO at your dumbass.

Note: Stealing from a meme to post? If you were a C-Suite executive, not likely with posts like that one, you’d still be a dumbass.

Congrats on imagining you could bang a woman that doesn’t have a mustache, dumbass.
