As a Huskers fan, OU is the only Big 12 Team any true Nebraska fan likes and respects. Still love the Sooners and miss getting to play you guys (although we would get our butts kicked the last decade). Just wanted to say I was proud of the way the Team fought hard after falling behind.
Just wanted to ask you fans a question that we Nebraska fans have been wondering all year, WHY IN THE HECK DID YOU GUYS HIRE DIACO!! The guy was hands down the worst DC we have ever had and the guy is a complete flake. Completely destroyed an already poor defensive. We were never so glad to get rid of someone in program history. Last night, the first half looked like a faster version of last years Nebraska Team. If you guys had a typical OU defense you could have won that game. Hope HC Riley makes a change there.
Anyway, just know that Nebraska fans are still rooting for the Sooners. We are excited about our future under Scott Frost but along way to go. Offense is great, defense is poor and will have to improve to be great again. Hopefully 8-4 in 2019.

The change has already started with Mike Stoops' dismissal.
No idea why we hired Diaco, other than maybe he was just available.
We have a lot of faith that the new hire will be a well-vetted selection.
If we aren't noticeably different by about the start of the 3rd quarter of the first game, August 31, we may all literally explode.

Diaco was hired as an analyst originally. After Mike Stoops was fired he became the outside linebackers coach. A lot of Nebraska fans think he's the defensive coordinator, and that's not true. Ruffin McNeill is the interim defensive coordinator.

I live in Nebraska and witnessed the Diaco mess last year. He's a weird duck, but I don't think he was the reason you were so bad last year. I think you can thank your former head coach Riley for that.

I respect Nebraska fans and their program. I like Frost and he appears to be a genuine leader. Diaco will be thrown out with the rest of the defensive staff (probably will keep Ruffin). Not sure why we had to bring Diaco on board...no improvements as year pressed on. The new DC should be a real commander...to right this ship. Jack In Box (M. Stoops) really made a mess of things...and was too damned stubborn to adapt.

I think they kept Thibbs and Ruffin and they’ll just be on staff. They recruit well.

Diaco was Notre Dame DC the last time in Norman when ND won. Diaco had moved on the next year in South Bend when OU won. Diaco once won the Broyles Trophy for best assistant coach in the land. Some believe he had nothing to work with at Nebraska.
