Nations #2 ranked OU softball led by Alo's Two HRs & 4 RBIs to 8-3 win in 1st game of doubleheader

Things are looking up a little, in the face of some adversity. Both centerfielders are hurt for while. Mostly playing without OUr best pitcher, except for getting 8 outs in two games.

But in the nightcap Friday night, the Sooners run-ruled Northern Iowa immediately after UNI lost a 7-6 decision to the tournament hosts, Arizona. The Wildcats are a top ten team, most likely, and especially tough to beat at home.

OU will play UA tomorrow evening, immediately after facing Long Beach St. They are scheduling the games 2.5 hours apart, and running way behind. They were supposed to play UNI at 7 p.m. Norman time Friday, but didn't have first pitch until after 9:00. The Long Beach game is scheduled for 3:00

The Sooners used four pitchers against UNI, including Juarez for the first two outs of the game. The game ended on a three run homer by Kinzie Hansen, that made it 10-2 in B6. It was OU's second 3-run dinger of the game. Lynnsie Elam opened the scoring in the B1

OU scored 3 in the 1st. 2 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd and 4 to end the game in the 6th.
