I'm going with Dom Alexander. Stop the run game and Q-B run and force them to throw. On offense, Sterling Shepard. I read where Shep has never had a great RRR game. He's due for a breakout.

Who you got?

I'll keep picking the Mark Andrews and Baker Mayfield combo until it happens. Sooner or later I'll be right. I am hoping for a Mixon breakout game though. Let's score 50.

Oklabama, man this could be a VERY good pick if Andrews could get more playing time. I've seen plenty of threads on the pay side of people wanting to see him on the field more. The guy so far has seemed to have a niche for making some big plays. I've had flashes of Gresham a couple of times this year...

Offense I think Westbrook will have a beast day. He has really made an impression so far this year, and I think he will have a monster day tomorrow!!

Defense, I'm gonna go with Striker. I know this pick lacks imagination since Striker is a known name, but I think he will have a bigtime day with Heard trying to run around all day. I think Heard will be caught off guard all day long at Strikers speed.

I'm thinking Mixon as well. If they give him some carries, it'll be lights-out against that soft run defense of Texas.

I'm waiting on a Perine breakout......1700 yards last year.

And Bama, I wouldn't count on the Andrews prediction in this offense. I would love to see it, but they use him like a trick play or something. Maybe a better word is surprise player.

I followed Tulsa a few years back when they had a true tight
end threat in Garrett Mills. He was the top target and every team new it, but couldn't stop him. I think he signed with the Patriots.

To be honest, with this offense I don't know if any receiver or running back will be a feature. This offense is built to spread it around. If it works, fine with me...........

Garrett Mills was a stud college player. Mark Andrews could be better if used. Funny how TT has used its TE, so I'm a bit surprised that Riley/Mayfield hasn't gotten the ball to him more. Didn't Tech have an AA TE in 2013? The year Baker was the QB.

You're right.
Like us, this team will gladly trade individual achievement for team trophies.
Good lawdy, it's been a really long time since we got a sole league trophy, and way longer since the natty. We're due.
Times up.

Oh yeah, again, Striker.
He's been on a tear.
He's gonna rip some horn asses.

Yes they did. Forgot his name. Something like Amarillo by morning...HA

Yes, something like that. I think he had like 80 or 90 catches....hah, couldn't had that many, but a lot. So, this offense has that capability. Always has. OU has had some really great TEs under Bob.

I'm too lazy to look, but wasn't Mills on the Tulsa team that beat Bob/OU?

I was thinking he was.

fitty, actually, my quote you referenced was about the TT TE that played a couple years back. But to answer your question about Garrett Mills being on the winning side of an OU-Tusla game, I don't think so. Garrett was there in 2005 and he actually did catch over 80 for more than 1200 yards that year. Garrett wasn't that fast and didn't have great size for a TE/FB, but he was a baller. He was Jenks kid. Now that you mentioned it, has Bob even ever lost to Tulsa? I don't think so, but if it has happen within the last 7 or 8 years, it could have slipped my memory.

You're right, Tulsa has never beat Bob.

I was thinking about TCU, 2005. Remember that shocker?

First game, right out the chute...a loss. That was a big ole drag.

I just think back to guys that had breakout games against UT; Marcus Dupree, Quentin, AD, Dom, DeMarco, Damien Williams, etc... My gut tells me this is the week Mixon goes off.

You know, you're onto something.

I think it's been by design too.
Holding back a 5 star RB for the RRR?
It's perfect, almost diabolical.
Turn that beast lose and just let him go. Look for it.:)
