i think if we can just hold on and get this turned around BV and staff are going to dominate in the “salary cap” era .. i don’t think he’s exactly made for this era and has shown to be slightly stubborn to adapt, and at times u think we should’ve hired lanning and should we? maybe. but we didn’t and i think BV will actually be much better than lanning when they can’t just outspend everyone. i think this staff is built for the salary cap era of cfb. i also think this soul mission that everyone talks so much about now will actually be a huge advantage in the new era. it seems like we’ve been in on huge recruits and have landed guys like PJ, stone, bowen, JA, all sorts of dudes but when we get to guys like jonah williams, cure, and whoever else that becomes a bidding war we don’t want those guys anymore for whatever reason .. but when we can’t just get outbid by everyone anymore and there’s a limit … i think we may start to land a lot of those guys we were missing out on in the bidding wars. i mean solomon thomas for example blatantly admitted to wanting to be at FSU and not LSU .. well i think we all know why he’s at LSU instead lol. i think that type of stuff would hopefully stop happening and relationships could actually matter again .. at least u hope. i think if the staff can hold on for just a bit longer we will dominate when there are actually rules in place.
