Mizzou

Average Tuition per Year at Missouri
Resident - $11k
Non-Resident - $25k
Residents = 68%
Non-Residents = 32%

1500 * 0.68 = 1020 Lost Residents
1500 * 0.32 = 480 Lost Non-Residents

(1020 * $11k) + (480 * $25k) = $11.2M + $12M = $23.2M lost tuition

Now I know why they call you The Big Cheese. ;)

If that's the case, then they are losing more than $32 Million per year. A lot more. I think that is the amount they're under budget. But they've lost more than that, because a pretty solid surplus was expected. Think of all that SEC money.

My guess is that the $32M is only accounting for student revenue, and that they probably lost a lot more non-residents than they did residents. That would drive that $23M number up quickly.
There are probably other student fees that go into the number as well. Parking tags, cafeteria profits, dorm fees, etc.
