I have a friend who works in NFL just text me that Mims will be announcing in next few days that he is leaving for NFL.
I asked him if he was surprised and he said “not really because there isn’t too much he can do to improve his draft stock”.
As a OU fan/alum I was hoping he would stay and become more “polished” and fix the drops but my friend said “he will run fast enough at combine and might as well leave now” I never looked at it that way. Similar to Jimmy Wilkerson back in the day, might as well take the money.
Hope we get some wr recruits to fill a large void.
