Ken Sailors, widely credited with pioneering the two hand jump shot in B-ball, died.

He had an older and taller brother that, and this quote, "I'd try to shoot over him and he'd just slap it back into my face, so I started to jump up and shoot it and was able to get over his outstretched arms".

Ken was 95 when he passed. RIP

My biggest point total was 4 points on back to back possessions at Hanau Middle. We had a Wilt Chamberlin type we fed the ball to. I shot from my right sideline very close to where Bonnie was seated. I was showing off. She clapped.

Man, that's amazing you remember such things in that vivid of detail.

Gingko Biloba?

In today's game, both shots would be 3 pointers. I don't know how I pulled it off. Oh, I shot right. Today an attempt would probably be left.

Parents and teachers of the day told me to do everything right. A la Jack Mildren and Ronald Reagan.

It was Sue who had the crush on me in middle school at Hanau, Germany. I had a crush on Bonnie. Joining me later at Lawton High School as a drop dead gorgeous senior found Sue denying me the time of day.

And Joann did indeed go on to fly with Braniff as a flight attendant. I went on to fly in the USAF.
