Lamar (4-5) reinstated their football program just six years ago...and In Lamar's past two seasons they had been outscored 132-6. Three of those six points was a FG In their 73-3 loss to Texas A&M. In '14.
In Baylor's game vs. Lamar... Lamar had two turnovers and 15 penalties for 117 yards.......just before the half...Baylor was ahead 28 to 21...then Baylor scored...making It 35-21 at the half.
Baylor was favored by 58 points.
Baylor won the game 66- 31...but Lamar sacked QB Russell one time and Intercepted him 3 times....and QB Stidham was sacked 2 times and fumbled once.
If Lamar scored 31 points vs. Baylor....after scoring 6 points the prior years....maybe we have a chance....
