Les Miles fired.

Ed Orgron (sp) named interim coach. Twitter says agents of Herman and Briles have been contacted. If the LSU plane story is true, they maybe after Riley as OC?

2-2 and gets fired. What about Bob Stoops at 1-2 and starring 1-3 in the face. That's John Blake stuff. Would he be safe if he were to lose to Texas for the third straight year to be at 1-4?

N511TA arrived in Norman, Oklahoma on Thursday 9/22/2016 From Baton Rouge, La. at 4:52 p.m. and has not left according to FlightAware... It is a twin turbo prop registered to LSU from what I can tell... Well, Air Med Services LLC actually... With a big LSU on the tail in purple and gold...

N599TA left New Orleans about 12:30 and arrived in Miami at 2:59 EDT. It returned to Lafayette, La. at 5:54 CDT... It appears to be an LSU plane as well...

Wow. And I thought OU fans had unrealistic expectations.

No telling why they went wherever for what... Miami International is one thing, KOUN is the University of Oklahoma at Norman airport... and that plane hasn't left since Thursday...

Geez never expected them to pull the trigger on Les a handful of games into the season!!!

And yes...I'm sure Herman will be VERY HIGH on the list, if not #1.

Ah, but you will see, from my master plan, why Herman will stay put in Houston... stay tuned... Ha!

I could see Petrino or Herman. But why would Fisher leave FSU??

Money maybe? His only ties to FSU are through the Bowden family, having played for Terry in Division III, and then being hired as an assistant under Bobby. He has no ties to LSU either... Edit: he was OC and QB coach from 2000-06 there...

All entities have high expectations. All expect to thrive within their realm. So the only thing that is unclear to me from what you posted is what you consider "unrealistic".
Very true. I'm quite certain the expectations in the SEC are a bit higher than here in the Big XII. Most that defend Stoops talk about conference titles and getting 10 wins a season. In the SEC, 10 wins a season won't exactly cut it getting to play for National Titles, but it rarely will even cut it in winning the conference.

I have never been convinced he was a great coach or recruiter but he was the luckiest SOB during games...

Les wasn't fired for being a bad Coach. He was fired for being loyal to his Friends/Coaches. Bob better take a Long Look at what's going on in Baton Rogue. Bowden had the same issue and got the same treatment.

I'll give you coach, but not a great recruiter?

Here are his recruiting classes. I'm pretty sure only Saban has been more consistent.

2015 #8
2014 #2
2013 #6
2012 #18

Do you fellas explain all these opinions to your wives? I know I've learned a lot. Call Joe, Boren or Bob. I don't think anyone here can make it happen. Quit donating money, quit buying tickets, send a message the way it counts. We needed our own network like Texas. You guys could only watch the old games and reminisce about how far we have fallen. Well back to my Tonto and the Lone Ranger movie. I think they get in a real tight spot in this movie.

The sucsucsuc expects a National Championship even when not winning their own conference... Head to head didn't mean crap to anyone when sucsucsuc West foes Alabama and LSU played for the 2011 National Championship.

LSU got one as a 2 loss team, while Kansas only moved up one spot to #7 after a 12-1 record and Orange Bowl win. They didn't show up in the polls until week 6 at #20. An 8 point loss to #3 Missouri dropped them from #2 to #7 and then 8 after conference championship games... LSU losses came in two OT games, to #17 Kentucky and unranked Arkansas. Despite their losses to much lower ranked teams, they never dropped much in the polls. #5 on both occasions is where they went. Kansas and Hawaii were the only 1 loss teams. Hawaii lost to Georgia 41-10 in their bowl game. Do you think OU or Texas wouldn't have been playing Ohio State had they only had one loss? What if it were USC? Notre Dame?

So while I can see where the sucsucsuc schools feel they should play for a National Championship, I also see where some have let them feel "entitled" to them...

Make no mistake I agree man. The year LSU got in with 2 losses was ridiculous. So even Les's lone Natty Title has a bit of an asterisk next to it.

I'd like to think... yes, it is difficult at times... that depending on where LSU ends up this year, that Ed Orgeron gets a shot at leading them forward...

Why would Herman go to LSU?? LSU is a bigtime program in arguably the top conference in the country that has inroads to recruiting in the most talent rich area in the country. Also add into the that the fact that Big XII expansion is starting to look dead in the water, why would Herman want to continue to stick it out in the American Conference any longer than needed if a bigtime program comes calling?

The sucsucsuc network interviewed a reporter close to the Houston program who said Herman might have the option of choosing between LSU, USC, and/or texASS...
