ah.....the hell we weren't. The Sooners have a lot of work to do to salvage this season, which may only be possible because the B12 looks to be pretty weak. So if wins and losses is your thing, "there's a chance" to win 9 or 10. But then there is the bowl opponent to deal with. Everyone should know what's wrong with this team, or at least have their own idea, so I'm not even going there. I'll just sit back wait to hear from the board.

Whatever is wrong, we'll keep having the same discussions each year that OU's in the weak Big 12, playing arena-style football and playing down to a non-championship level, with non-championship caliber talent.
Whatever Stoops is or isn't, the scenario above will only allow his teams to reach a limited ceiling...even though his HOF resume will get padded with an 80% winning percentage.

I'm positive that we won't play another team as good as we played last night for the rest of the season. That's a good thing.

My prediction is that you guys will win the Big 12 and the venom towards Stoops will diminish big time.

You can't win the big 12 by beating Kansas and Iowa State because that looks like the only games I have reasonable confidence in Winning at this point. This is a 4-5 loss team this year.

The full weight of my depression is the reality that that our recruiting class will likely not be as good as we hoped it will be....and we will not have the top flight depth of talent to compete with the Bamas and tOSUs. And no one here dares hope we'll be competitive in Columbus next year, so last night was the realization that both 2016 and 2017 are washed out.

The Bama Sugar Bowl win was a mirage - a mediocre QB who simply played out of his mind like he never has before or since (he is not lighting it up at A&M - he's a solid senior if unspectacular QB).

Many of you - IMHO - are too much into the doom and gloom mode. I realize tthat losing is never easy, but you definitely had the TOUGHEST OOC schedule in the country and just played 2 top 5 teams. You'll still have a solid season
Certainly a tough schedule so far playing two top teams, but what is problematic is how both losses revealed just how far the Sooners are from championship caliber when compared to at least any of the top ten teams at this time.
I would bet that OU will win at least 8 games, and while we will hear how other teams would kill to have such a season, it's no longer acceptable after 17 seasons....well, for most of us anyway.

You just don't understand. There were plays to be made. The players didn't make them. Not the OU players anyway... the only difference between Ohio State and Iowa State is a ho and a wa... that means when you play like a ho, we go wa wa wa wa wa...

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR NOT EXECUTING THE MASTER PLAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is the plan? Is there one?

I was wrong about wanting to change conferences. No big 12 team would be successful for years if ever. We played 2 outstanding teams and 2 really good quarterbacks. Louisville would carve up the big 12. The expansion candidates should be concerned.

Ok. I understand what you're saying... Now for the facts... tOSU ranks 128th in experience... OU got throttled at home... By tOSU, who sits ranked where OU started the year... OU has done this before, check 2014, 2009, 2005...

291 RUSHING YARDS...

Been at this for a while:

Mike and Bob are running a defensive scheme that they don't really get and in turn they limit our defensive players ability.

There is talent all over the defense. We've managed to limit their ability.

Offensively we over complicate things. We might not have Bama and Buckeye talent but we have more than enough to beat them when we return so much experience, then with almost none, and at home.

We fail to let our players play unless it's against inferior competition. A far cry from the once fearless Big Game Bob.

BGB said he was "All In" last night...

Urban Meyer has the team with the least experience in the nation at #2 in the polls after spanking OU like a little bitch... not even Saban can say that...

And that's the essence of Bob's hubris. He's willing to bring in best available OC talent (Lincoln, in his opinion) but since D is his background Bob is unwilling to bring in a new DC with fresh ideas/techniques. Makes you wonder if Mike's MO is so well-worn if coaches aren't universally using the same game-plan against our D to exploit it. And to think we we were calling tOSU's D "simple" (and no I don't believe Austin K. made that up on his own - he heard that in a staff meeting).

Bottom line: the last 4 bowl games we are giving up on average 37+ points. With a month to prepare, Bob&Co consistently loses to the OC facing him, whether our O bails us out (Knight/Bama) or not.
