Good for LJ ! Now if he leads them into the playoffs he can perhaps parlay that into replacing Romo for the boys and get out of the rustbelt...
Landry had a good day with the Steelers? That will chap the ballz of guys like Yankees, who was over on Oranglebloods making fun of his NFL combine 40 yard dash along with his Horn buddies a few seasons ago. "Landry will never make a roster". It must make guys like Yankee, Barkingwater and GLB madder than hell to see the players and coaches they constantly criticize, do well. They would rather see failure and be right than to be wrong. Like Sanchez yesterday. Yanks is probably so disgusted being wrong again, he can't take a crap. They'll never learn. They'll just go on an on looking stupid. Good for Landry. GLB probably mauled his pit bull to death.
What's your record for lies in one day? Good grief. What I've stated in the past was Landry wouldn't be a top 10 pick like some stated. What I also stated was he would more than likely be a solid back up but nothing more at the NFL level. Before injuries to the top 2 guys, what has he been so far? My memory is perfect. That's why I came back here today. I don't post much, but I sure as heck saw Landry's performance and thought about the handful of flame baiters on SoonerScoop who slammed him his entire college career. It's more of a case of selective forgetfulness in hoping nobody will remember your hatred for Landry Jones. It must really upset you being wrong again.

It appears Broyles is a free agent; it would be prudent for the Steelers to pick him up if he is healthy enough to run...

Did no team pick him up after being released by Detroit before the season?? I really figured some team would have taken a chance on him to see what he had left.
Actually I believe I was the one making fun of his 40 time. I like Landry just fine but the video of him finishing that 40 was pretty funny.
If I remember right wasn't he running with a hella weird looking style/motion?? I think I do remember that it was funny cuz it was so damn awkward looking. lol

Ive been over on some Steeler forums....I cant believe how much the fans hate Landry Jones. I mean they really hate him and have since the minute he was drafted. I seriously doubt he starts Sunday. I hope he does though. Vick has a small tear in his hamstring. My guess is they start Roethlisberger even though he isnt quite ready yet. Roth didnt practice last week we'll see what the NFL injury report says wednesday.

They general consensus was he was a wasted draft pick when they needed defensive players. His poor showings in pre season games...and the fact than Big Ben is a God in Pittsburg and all other QB's in the universe suck.
Well...those fans owe Landry a little gratitude then since he saved their asses and put a notch in the win column...at least yesterday.
I agree 100% he came in when they were down, called several audibles, knows the playbook well and led them to a come from behind victory from off the bench. Personally I give him a A for Awesomeness!

I have read many blogs on the Steelers and the consensus seems to be let Ben rest another week and let Landry play. There were many fanatical Steelers who were once regretting Landry but now don't mind eating a little crow. Mea culpas all over the place. Vick is done as far as they are concerned. I gather from listening to player interviews that they prefer Landry over Vick although they don't come right out and say it because Vick is Tomlin's home boy.
Jones played well against a very good Arizona defense in a real (not pre-season) game. WTF? If Roethlisberger is not healthy, it's a no-brainer for next week.
Man that video makes me laugh every time I see it. He started out the first 10 yards in good shape but then went into some kinda weird over exaggerated leg and arm pumping motion. He also looked like he is sitting in a chair that last 30 yards. I guess this is the reason he rarely scrambledFound it BW.
