Kyler Murray signs with OU

What's our total record against Alabama? I think we have one tie?

Bud's last conference champion was in 1962. Those guys lost games two and three to ND and Texas, but then swept the BIg 8 and played a really good Alabama team with a junior named Lee Roy Jordan at middle linebacker and a soph name Joe Namath at quarterback, back when his knees were still healthy.

Two early Jim Grisham fumbles wrecked OU's best chances, and Bama won 17-0. Lee Roy Jordan set the all time record for tackles by an opponent in one game. He had 31 in a time when teams typically snapped the ball less than 50 or 55 times a game. Clock didn't stop on first downs or even changes of possession. And nobody good threw it much.

That was Bear Bryant over Bud. Bud never beat him in a bowl game. But the other loss was elsewhere. That was Bama's only win over OU ever. The tie was my sophomore year, when we were winding down the first 3/4s of a season of running the wishbone. We were better in the Astro-Bluebonnet bowl, but Bryant out-coached Chuck and Barry and we were lucky to get a tie. 24-24 when the Dome, the first dome, was five years old. Strange feeling ending a season with a tie in a bowl game.

The next season both OU and Bama were 11-1, with each team's loss to Nebraska. We lost 35-31 in the GOTC. The Huskers beat the CT 40-6 in the Orange Bowl. We ended up two in the country and I think Bama was four or five.

You're in friggin' denial man. What else is an aggie to say? The dude split on your program. He snubbed you & all things Aggie. So did your other QB. Something stinks in College Station right now... and it isn't the Corp Turds this time.
Just given you the facts gentlemen. Take them as you will.

Oh wait... Facts?
Facts are acceptable. In fact (no pun intended) a few posters will only accept facts! You should be fine but you might want to check with them.

As for me, I just think you're a jilted aggie. But hey, that's just my opinion.

Well, leopards rarely change their spots and the football and baseball teams in Aggieland were all extremely glad to hear he was leaving. On Wednesday nite, KM's football teammates packed his bag and told him, "you're leaving". He hadn't even taken a practice with the BBall team and they openly despised him. Aggies don't care what you think about it, whether he is successful or not, we're just glad he is gone. Most of the damage was caused by his dad, our fine Aggie legacy. Now, says your prayers tonight little starling and pray he goes all baseball so he doesn't decimate your fine football team like he did ours.

I laughed when I read this. Funny stuff. Piggyperch really is an Aggie, just in case someone thinks otherwise.

Yes, I really am an Aggie. I have been on the Aggie rivals board since 2002, the year we beat your #1 ranked Sooners at Kyle Field 30-26. I was at that game. I was also at Memorial stadium in 1993, the year we were undefeated except for a loss to OU, 44-14 in the second game of the year. Like I first posted, we're just glad he's gone. Good luck, you'll need it.

It's true that you are an Aggie. I already pointed that out. But you are registered on Orangebloods, not the Aggie board. Almost 7000 posts on Orangebloods. Way to go champ.

A&M=okie state=Arkansas. In other words, all nobody programs. Who cares what their fans think

Everything written of him has Murray at 5'11".... so can anyone prove that he's actually 5'9" ? (As if that's a serious issue).
Otherwise, move on.

I agree, CT. Actually, Flutie was 5'10". I was there for his official NFL measurements in Chicago. LOL. What does a couple of inches really matter except with the schlong? A 5'9" versus a 5'11" QB that is talented and can run a 4.5? Not much difference.

Well Bob seems to be real happy with him signing and he knows more about the kid's potential than what i can read on the internet ....so Im just going to go with it. Fate landed Baker in our arms who says lightning cant strike twice...after all this is Oklahoma!

Just watched a little of Kevin Murray on the 1987 Cotton Bowl replay versus Auburn. Whatever happened was a bit cataclysmic in order for this blueblood to walk out of A&M.
