So good to see Marcus Major getting some carries and cutting loose. Been waiting for him to contribute and now expect more from him next year. He hit the holes and ran through defenders. Kudos.

In the wake of Camar Wheaton's switch to Alabama, Major showed himself to be a "major" contributer in the future. And next season, even if Stevenson enters the draft, OU will have Brooks, Major, McGowan and possibly Henderson within its depth at RB.
That said, I'm nor closing the book on OU's chances of adding a RB before next season...by way of either a recruiting surprise or a transfer.

He sure played well, I was glad to see it. And that offensive line absolutely mauled Florida. I thought it was their best effort of the season.

Major was clutch against Texas and then for some reason was put in dry dock the rest of the season.
I think he's now a big factor in OU's future.......as is McGowan....and walk-on Todd Hudson has great speed and even at 5'5" 188 lbs can be a contributor.
Again, I'll say that Riley may pull a surprise to get a RB by February.

Both of those guys ran hard yesterday. Both are fast. McGowan’s running style reminds me a lot of Rodney Anderson, the way he makes his cuts. I don’t think Stevenson sticks around for next year and I don’t have a huge amount of faith in Brooks delivering next year, maybe he will and I hope I’m proven wrong but the whole opting out thing seems selfish when nobody else on the team did that I’m aware of. We were heavily relying on Brooks to be the starter but he did what was best for him only.

If we go into next season with only three RB's, that is a disaster waiting to happen.

In the spirit of this thread, I was also thrilled to see Hudson come in and have at least a little success.

Redmon opted out as well for health reasons. As long as Brooks has stayed in shape he should have a another good year. Not sure why OU doesnt have a RB already committed or a heavy lean. 2022 class is stacked with RB's so maybe Riley is waiting to add a couple from this class, and ride with what we got.

Forgot about Redmon. I hope Perkins comes back, if he does our D will be nasty next year particularly our front 7.
