Jackson Arnold gets his fifth star on 247.

After being MVP at the Elite 11 competition, it only makes sense. Having a five star quarterback in the 2023 class, certainly can't hurt anything.

Agree.
And I don't see Arch Manning having superior talent than Arnold, especially considering the level of competition he faced. Arnold did his work against 6A Texas competition. Someone here mentioned Manning competing against "2A" competition in Louisiana. I read Manning played against "Division III" competition for Isadore Newman.
From what I have read about the Isadore Newman private school in New Orleans, its enrollment is 1,200 and there is a $24,000 enrollment fee......reminds me of the private school I attended in Houston back in 1958-60, St. John's, which currently has an enrollment of 1,400 students (grades 1-12) and an enrollment fee of $30,000.
I believe OU pulled off a great recruiting coup in getting Arnold, made even greater due to the turmoil following Riley's exit and his poaching of OU's roster and recruiting. I would wager more on Arnold's success than Manning's.

When will Rivals follow suit? Having 5 QB’s ranked ahead of him, some he outperformed at camps, seems agenda related.

He's committed to OU. A fifth star means absolutely nothing other than recruiting rankings at this point.
I understand that, but it’s the principle of the matter. It makes absolutely no sense. If I were Arnold, it would give me a chip on my shoulder similar to the chip that Baker had.

I agree with you. Sorry, my response reads harsh when no harshness was intended. I meant that these people that hand out these stars have an agenda in most cases. I think Jackson will be far better than Manning on the playing field.

No worries Scottsdale. I didn't take it harsh at all. Sports, like everything else, ends up political based on who it benefits most. Frustrating, but the way of the world I guess. We both agree that Jackson deserves more respect and will likely have to keep getting it from his play on the field. Good position to be in for OU & Jackson, though.
