JA time!

OU should be in good shape at QB with Arnold and Thompson backing him up.
And freshman Hawkins should see action not to exceed 4 games to maintain his redshirt status.
With Temple and Maine on the schedule, Hawkins could see significant action.

He was good in HS. The potential is there but right now we still don’t know for sure
Exactly. Chill. 5 interceptions and holding onto the ball way too long is what we know sort of Landry Jones at Nebraska 2.0. That’s ALL we know right now. And if we don’t get some kind of running back and running game like we had pre Eric gray and forward, than it won’t matter because our offense won’t click.

We've seen him "under the gun" in the BYU and bowl games and his performance was, to put it fairly, "mixed." I'd be lying if I said I didn't expect better given his hype and my expectations. I expected a John Elway 1980 performance on Owen Field when the reality is that expectation was completely unrealistic. Having now tempered my expectations, I just hope he grows his game to the level necessary to compete and consistently win against the upcoming gauntlet we'll face.
