This board is always split between the unrealistic optimist and the realist. With two PAC 10 teams, two big 10 teams, and 3 SEC teams ahead of us in the initial rankings, the hopes for another playoff year are almost certainly out the window. It is an out right shame, this team is more balanced than the 3 previous playoff teams. Not to be prepared for that game in Manhattan is inexcusable. There are not many teams that lay that type of egg every year when they are overwhelming favorites. Other teams will shit the bed here and there, but the consistency in which Oklahoma does it is just mind boggling. Kirby Herbstreit is right, even if Oklahoma wins the big 12 the other four major conference champions will be in ahead of them in the CFP rankings.
