I'll start it before ESPIN or FOX does. Where will Bob Stoops coach next?

Every job opening in college or the pros will undoubtedly be the one that BS will come out of retirement for.

Right now I think he is done coaching. But who knows a few years down the road, Bob may feel the urge to get back into coaching again. I've seen countless people that are so excited for retirement and leaving the workplace, only to find out with a couple of years they are bored and want to find a line of work they enjoy and they get another job. Bob could possibly within a few years feel the same way. Only time will tell.

I believe Bob will do greatness. Replacing Mark May is not greatness.

I believe he will create ministry, like something to the families of those hospitalized kids he loves.

Or pursue something that makes a difference in the culture.

But not tomorrow. Now if the Domers did something absurd, like offer him $10M a year, he might listen. But if Bob really wanted to coach in 2018 or 19, I don't believe he would have left.

I doubt he will entertain a coaching position as long as his boys are playing college ball. But there's no guarantee that either one will see the field. Retiring at 57 is really young now days especially for someone that has worked so hard since his playing days ended. I wonder how well he will adapt to his new gig at OU. That may be his calling.

He can always help his wife sell Mary Kay.

Stoops can pull a Craig Biggio and become a private citizen with enough wealth already accumulated to last the rest of his life.

I don't see Bob taking in the historical venues as you do, CT. I enjoy that also, but at 57, no, that's not what see for Bob. I see him working again within 5 years, but not necessarily coaching. Well, I guess he is going to work this year with Joe. There really may be a plan.
