Been reading strings on several boards about the Big XII-2 and how to "rescue" it to get to 12 teams. Tons of people are advocating we admit Houston (and Cincinnati) so we can have a playoff like the other power 5 conferences.
This conference already has four teams in Texas, our traditional recruiting base. Houston and Dallas are our primary cities. Admitting the U of Houston to Big XII status would be tantamount to saying goodbye to Houston for most of its great recruits, Hell, Houston U could recruit only that city and have great teams. That leaves only Dallas (and a number of other small towns), which we already share with TCU and most of the Texas schools.
Admitting Houston would be the dumbest move possible to "save" the conference, which is why Commissioner Bowlsby has mentioned it as a possibility (doesn't want to spoil his record of stupid statements and decisions).
On another board I saw a photo of a guy (in clothes, fortunately) bending over with his head up his ass. The legend below simply said: Bob Bowlsby.
P.S. Am I the only one worried about TCU? The boards all sound like they did before the UTerus game this year and, going way way, like they did against Arkansas when they lost 6 players just before they kicked our ass in a bowl game.
