I know a lot of this is based on the judgment of the officials but, I have a question about ball spots (and no, I'm not addressing a medical condition).
A player's forward progress is stopped and the whistle has blown ending the play. Is the ball supposed to be spotted where it actually is at the time his knee hits the ground or spotted where the knee hits the ground?
On virtually every spot, it seems the ball is questionably spotted a foot to almost a yard further behind than where the ball is actually located when the whistle blows causing fans to go crazy. I know I've gone crazy on many a spot.
Probably a stupid question but it won't be my last.
