I’m 42 and a lifelong browns fan from Lawton. Grew up with Bernie Kosar, Ernest Byner, Webster Slaughter, Hanford Dixon ... etc. Also, as my posts make clear, I’m madly obsessed with Baker.
I went to my first Browns game this weekend with my wife and two other couples that are big football people. It was a glorious experience.
Seated at breakfast in a fine-dining place a few blocks from the stadium ... I ask the waiter my my Baker-Mayfied chant is frowned upon. It wasn’t - I started it and it was so awesome.
Ok the way to the stadium, I bought my Baker ****ing Mayfield shirt. And more of the “Baker-Mayfield!” The Land loves Baker ... LOVES him. I can’t descrive the energy and passion the entire stadium showed throughout the game.
Bake went 12/12 for like 160 and a 14-10 lead. Then Chubb kicked in. Then the defense. Then some more Baker!
After the game, more “Baker-Mayfield” and the fans were frenzied and all in chorus! We get to the bar after the game, all the fans, all the servers, all of everyone was talking about how Baker is going to save a franchise. The Truth. In the Land.
