UPDATE OCT 11 2:35 PM:
Neither Carrington or Geralds (see below) will be at the game this weekend. Both will be at another OU game later this season. Geralds is set for OU/Bama, but was trying to make the OU/TX game work. After the last few weeks the ATL area has had with Hurricane Helene, it makes sense that it was a bit of a stretch to be able to make this trip after going to OU/Tenn and Bama/UGA in back-to-back weeks before that. The good news is that the five-star DL will be at Bama/OU in Norman later on this coming November.
I really like where OU stands with Geralds at this juncture of the game.
As for for Carrington, Todd Bates has done a masterful job in getting them back in the fold a bit on the recruiting trail. Even though getting to Norman has been difficult, Bates has built such a rapport with Carrington and his dad that are working on coming in for a game later his season. Again, most likely the Bama/OU game. That is how much they want to get to Norman that they keep trying. Good news on the DL recruiting front for sure.
As for another addition, I would like you all to take note of the fact 2026 four-star Mansfield (TX) Lake Ridge OL Felix Ojo will is be adding to the visit list. Ojo has the upside to be -- at the very minimum -- a Rivals100 talent. His frame and athleticism leave a lot of development there to be added to his already stellar ability.
Nonetheless, the addition of Ojo makes for another big-time talent heading to OU/TX this weekend.
We will continue to update as best we can. Should know 100% on 2026 five-star DT's Tank Carrington and Deuce Geralds today (Weds night) Both should know by tonight, they say. That said, Geralds says he will be at OU/Bama next month for sure, so either way the Sooners are getting them in town again before the season is over.
With you all informed on that front, here are the names we have confirmed!
