That remains to be seen. We've all seen these so called fab freshman not come close to reaching their supposed potential. Remember when we thought Kelly was gonna be a leader on defense?

Bookie seems to be late on scene more often than not. He has to get better coaching, or he will find himself on special teams duty. He has a long ways to go before even being average.

Bookie needs to move to CB, he's way to small for a safety and he's not a very good tackler.

Put either Kelly or Bookie at Bama, LSU or Florida I bet they play to their potential. It’s all about scheme and buying in completely ... Hiles is the same size at Tyrann Mathiue

From his radio talk today, it appears he struggled mightily in getting the players to buy in and perhaps even some of his coaches. It appears the defense was total mess. These student athletes are mostly 4star or greater. There's talent there. But they don't tackle worth a damn. That's for sure.

Or just stuck in his ways with bad schemes. He brought up Tony Jefferson in his interview but even tony Jefferson tweeted that the schemes need to change when he was watching a poorly coached game by mike. It’s more so stuck in your ways than old school. His adjustments were atrocious. I remember games we would play good defense much like the baylor game in 2015... or our first playoff game against Clemson leading by a point at halftime... and then all of a sudden there’s a complete offensive explosion by the other team and they’ve figured out our defense because mike would just basically keep everything in front of us with that bend but don’t break style... he never adjusted in the 2nd half like ever. We just had to hope that we would outscore the other team and we were fortunate to already have a lead going into the 2nd half.

Yea we’ve always had that problem even when BV was there but never this bad with tackling.
