Totally blown call in the NC/Clemson game. Hate to see the game decided like that
Yeah. I was rewatching in slow mo about four times because I didn't see it. And it wasn't there. That was the worst crew I've seen in a CCG in a while. That call solidified the status.
I was too busy switching back and forth to post.
I thought that Ferentz screwed up, despite the talking heads encouraging him to call time out. Up one or two, it's a good idea. But up four, no way. That allowed Michigan State to play at their pace. One TO would have been a good idea to rest his defense who spend most of the second half on the field. Even when Iowa scored, it didn't take long. It also though allowed them to keep their freshman running back on the field, and he made a ton of plays.
I'm not sure that MSU isn't the best team of the final four. It depends on how much Cook heals in the next four weeks. He was very sub par last night, and they still won. I thought the Big Ten game was the most compelling of the night and watched that mostly.
Watched a little of USC - Stanford and thought that Stanford's first drive got a ridiculous DPI call that gave them three points. Got a little sick of the fawning over McCaffrey, however you spell it.
Got to get ready for church. But quite a comeback by North Carolina. Remember that Clemson had to play the second half without the best player in their secondary, ejected for a late first half targeting penalty.
The thing about MSU is they have been able to make everybody play their game. Whoever beats them is going to need the stripes call some DPI, because they are taught to be so physical and they get away with stuff. Them against CLemson would be very interesting. They haven't played a quarterback that good, but he is a freshman.
I think this final four is about as evenly matched as possible. Each has strengths. Each has weaknesses. And such contrasting styles. I can promise this: OU is about to take a very large step in opponent quality, no matter who the opponent is. But so are the other three.
