Herbie!!!

Its very scary what is going on with our country right now and how fast it happened. I'm really afraid that this is only the beginning of a very difficult process. What is going to happen 2 - 3 months from now when unemployment is sky high and the energy industry is on the brink? I hope I'm wrong but I'm afraid its going to get really, really bad even when this virus is over.

I'm concerned too, and the political divisions within our population only add to the problem. We are truly in a global life and death situation and unity is what is needy most.

What is scary to me is at this time, a very serious and uncertain time, the democrats are still going hard after Trump. They are dragging this country down with their hate and over the top partisanship. If this won't stop them nothing will. I even this morning the Schiff is wanting to start another investigation.

Does college football rely solely on fans in the stands? With these test kits coming out soon that could allow teams to test players regularly, and get results within 15 minutes, it seems to me the games could still be played, even if the stadiums remained empty. This would be huge for the morale of a lot of people during these trying times.

As for the ambiance of the games on TV without fans at the game, they could do what TV shows do and use fan noise from previous seasons, kind of like a laugh track that shows use.

Now that I think about it, that might be impossible if the game are live, so maybe they could play the games with a 15-30 delay, allowing them to add the fan sounds.

That's probably being thought about, but I expect the rest of 2020 to be shut down.

No fans in stadium, no money to put on a game. Just think about how much it cost for teams to travel, etc. Sad but true!

I guess people could purchase season tickets or pay for each game on TV so they can recoup the money? Seems like there could be a way financially. It's really a shame for the athletes, especially seniors.
