Good read

This has nothing to do with OU football but came across this article in regard to the ACC and B10 playing the system. Its nice to see someone willing to call them out on it.

Part of the problem with Forde's analysis, and the Big Ten's rule, at least for me, is that l'd say the rule should have included this: If a team came up one game short of the number, but still would have made the CCG with a loss, then they should be allowed in.

My problem with this is the CFP committee. No way tOSU should be in the final four with only 6 wins, including a CCG win. ESPN is pushing for it. If no other reason, that is why l'd oppose it.

The year is a big asterisk for CFB. So this would figure to be an abused loophole. Just glad we are working to take the Big 12 Championship and then a quality bowl game. Plus I believe Alabama is head and shoulders above anyone else this year.

If Clemson gets healthy, they might give them a run for it.

I agree about Bama, I just think much like LSU last season they are going to just steamroll whoever they play in the playoffs. Plus trying to validate a team who may only end up playing 6 games as being worthy over a team like Cincinnati who may finish 11-0 that actually put there season on the line just shows what we have always known. Its about the blueboods and nothing more. One can say all they want about Cincinnati and the schedule but it isn't like the Buckeyes schedule is great. The Buckeyes opponents are a combined 14-19 at this point with Indiana being the only over .500 and ranked team they have faced. The other 4 opponents are 2 win teams with 4 and 5 losses. Throw in Michigan and that opponent record would be 16-24.

Cincinnati though ( I know people like to say they don't play anyone ) opponents have a combined record of 39-37 ( This includes the upcoming Tulsa game ) and adding Tulsa in again in the CCG that makes the opponents 45-38 as long as they win. They have played Army ( 7-2 ) , SMU ( 7-3 ) , Memphis ( 6-3 ) , UCF ( 6-3 ) and of course as mentioned above Tulsa ( 6-1 currently).

If anything both UF and Texas A&M are more worthy at 8-1 or 9-1 than a 6-0 Buckeye team.

This is ND resume outside clemson only including power 5 games to make it comparable to Big Ten

1-7 Duke
1-5 FSU
2-6 Louisville
4-4 Pittsburgh
3-6 GT
5-5 BC
6-3 UNC
1-10 Syracuse

They struggled to beat several of these teams. They beat an average UNC team and Clemson without a lot of their best players and is probably going to lose in the rematch by a big margin.
