The only decent defense OU has played so far held OU to 3 points through 3 quarters and they really weren't able to pass or run very effectively against them. It was only after the Tenn defense wore down that OU started having some success against them.
The only good passing offense OU has played lit them up. They hit OU for 427 yards passing and 176 yards rushing and they aren't as good offensively as TCU and Baylor.
Sure you can spin things the other way too and make things look better. The Tennessee win was a great win. Despite how poorly they played through 3 quarters you have to give OU credit for the plays they made in the 4th and OT to win it. There are still a lot of questions though as to how good this team will be.
