If memory serves, BV is on his third OC and his third DC. In three years. (Let's not forget this guy hired Ted Roof!)
One of two things are going to happen as far as J Arnold - JA will fail with Auburn as he did OU. Or he will play very well with Auburn. Either way, this does not look good for BV as far as Arnold - you either whiff on a 5-star or you could not put that 5-star in a position to succeed. You look bad either way.
I have no idea what the deal was with the WR room this year - but a shitload of WRs are hurt all year and then jump into the portal first chance they get.
The OL was an abortion all year long - not sure why this happened. Perhaps there are many reasons.
Now BV is raiding the likes of Washington State in order to save his offense and his job. Washington State.
What is the shining moment of BV's three years as head coach? Beating Alabama, which three other teams also did this year?
I want to remain optimistic, but BV and his track record of success make it extremely difficult to do so.
