*Let's crush this from the start. He will be 'Marcus' No. 11 (or 12, or 13...more on that below), the most recent being Marcus Green in the 2014 class and obviously, most noticeably, Marcus Dupree. On the other hand he will be the first 'Major' for Oklahoma football.
*Continuing the name fun game, he is the third straight Marcus commitment in the 2019 class, that has NEVER happened before. In fact, I think it's been since the 2006 class (entirely possible I missed a trio) that Oklahoma signed three guys by the same name - Brandon Caleb, Brandon Crow, and Brandon Walker.
*Oklahoma has landed it's first Millwood product in the modern Rivals era. Though contrary to the mythology he is only the fourth offer at the school since 2002. The previous Falcons to hold Oklahoma offers - Gerald Jones (2007), Trayvon Henry (2010 - offer was eventually rescinded), and Josh Turner (2011).
*Perhaps most interestingly? He is the first Oklahoma product at running back that the Sooners have landed since Alex Ross in 2012. In the meantime they've missed out on Donovan Roberts, Devon Thomas, and Josh Jacobs - though each had their own issues as far as their offers. Prior to Roberts in 2012, Oklahoma hadn't missed out on an in-state running back offer.
