The 1975 Sooners...
This Is a game I still try to figure out how It happened.
We had a roster full of All-Americans and All-Conference players...they were loaded.
All-Americans
We had marched through the first eight games...beating highly rated teams that had several Heisman winners.
Kansas came to Norman un-rated...they had 235 total yards offense that day...and never attempted a single pass.
Kansas held Oklahoma to a single FG In the 1st period...and shut Oklahoma out in the last three quarters.
Kansas 23
Oklahoma 3
I was there for that game...and I thought that pretty well ends our run for a repeat NC...but later that year I was In Miami at the Orange Bowl when we beat Michigan to win the NC.
It was a season to remember.
We've already had our shock loss, Texas, and after that loss...I thought the same as when we lost to Kansas.. maybe...just maybe.
