I was listening to ESPN First Take today and they were discussing Ryan Day and if his job is safe now after the fan base was so worked up after the Michigan loss. They were talking about the expectations at Ohio St and despite his 66-10 record in his time as a HC and that you better be beating Michigan, winning the Big 10, and National Championships. They pointed out how Ohio St has not won a National Championship since 2014 and not won the Big 10 since 2020 and that’s just not acceptable. It just brought back memories of the past when I felt like that was the talk in Norman and for OU. It did make me laugh a little just thinking how I have seen so many post this season talking about OU getting to 8 or 9 wins this next season. I don’t want to believe it at all, but have the expectations for OU football fallen off that far? Just curious what others thoughts are on this.
