You guys have been welcoming this week to us Buckeye fans and it's appreciated.

Obviously I'm happier than most of you right now but I'll be rooting for you guys the rest of the way. Who knows, maybe you'll run the rest of the schedule and I'll regret it in a playoff rematch.

Both teams seemed to play with a lot of physicality. I saw excitement when it was still close but didn't see any taunting or cheap shots. Both teams played with class and represented their programs well.

Thanks for coming around. I enjoyed reading the posts of the few OSU fans who came to the board this week. Your Buckeyes looked really good. No doubt about who the best team was, even with that basic defense you play. ;)

Congrats. Urban will have y'all in the playoffs again. You have the best coach in college football, IMO.

I was impressed with coach Meyer, After OU's final punt, Meyer easily could have had the boys score another TD, but chose not to.

Playboy magazine once told me Ohio State has the most beautiful coeds. After my last 2003 campus visit, I can present no plausible argument.

What depresses me most about Ohio? Cars rust. Cars don't rust in Oklahoma.

Cars don't rust anywhere anymore. No steel.

A Jeep Wrangler is all steel body. The 2018 all new Wrangler will have aluminum inner doors and all aluminum hood with all steel chassis. Much steel today is galvanized on both or one side.

I once saw a rusted out hulk Honda Civic on a Columbus parking lot. A very shiny sticker on the quarter glass said "Rustproofing by Vogle".

Chrysler was first in 1963 with galvanized floor pans and rocker panels. I've seen 1963 Coronets and Belvideres full of holes except for floor pans and rocker panels.

Lol- Ok, wrangler has an all steel body. If everyone drove a Jeep Wrangler than I would agree that the streets are full of rusted cars in Ohio. Believe me, I grew up surrounded by rusted cars. You don't see them anymore in Ohio.

Jeep Wranglers have two side galvanized steel body panels making them rust proof. So does a myriad of other vehicles. Wrangler rust areas are found in the chassis, as does many other vehicles.

My last visit to Indiana found a corn based deicer which is not harmful to steel, but more expensive than salt. I assume Ohio still uses rock salt which forms an acid when introduced to water.

Colorado uses magnesium chloride which does little harm to steel.

Oklahoma and Texas use almost nothing. Texas uses sand on bridges. Oklahoma uses salt on rare occasions and mostly on interstate highways..

galvanizing something doesn't make it rust proof. it just makes a zinc oxide layer that doesn't rust. there are so many reasons that galvanized layer can and will fail. weld joints are super suspect.

the reason different states use different chemicals is because of typical temperature.
Oklahoma and Texas use urea sometimes because it's not a chloride and their freezing temperatures are relatively high - urea has a working temperature of only 25F, so it's not a great deicer but it works in mild freeze areas.
but it is heavy in nitrogen, used in fertilizer, so it does a number on vegetation if used too much
