Just a quick note on some buzz we have heard regarding 2024 four-star DE/DL target Kellen Lindstrom.
First off, we feel OU is in a good spot, but it’s a two team battle and according to a lot sources, he has gone quiet on both teams. The two teams at the top right now are OU and Tennessee.
Lindstrom visited Oklahoma for the Sooners’ spring game a few weeks ago, and during that visit it was becoming pretty evident that he is very high on the Sooners’ short list of targets at edge.
Still, even with the perceived confidence around Norman, myself and Parker are gonna hold off on a Future Cast to respect some sources wishes. Naturally, when a recruit goes MIA, you know there is some sensitivity in the matter. We are going to respect that, but we also don’t want you all blindsided and made aware that Lindstrom could be closing in on a decision soon(sources around OU and Tenn have also been pretty quiet on the matter and it sounds like the four-star EDGE/DL wants it that way).
As for a decision timeline, I have heard next 7-14 days as a possibility, but most everyone says they expect a decision by months end.
