Sooners offer and Weatherford (Ok) EDGE CJ Nickson is in Norman on an unofficial with his father today.
Nickson has been watching the camp and OU DE coach Miguel Chavis and head coach Brent Venables.
Chavis walked out with Jayshawn Ross and CJ Nickson to tour both of them through facilities this afternoon.
I continue to hear very positive things regarding Ross and Oklahoma, but he is also going up Nebraska with his teammate before OV’ing with the Sooners Friday thru Sunday.
Again, this thing seems to be moving in a very good trajectory with OU.
*** Oklahoma had 2025 Cypress (TX) Bridgeland OL Jonte Newman in for camp
today and the rangy offensive tackle didn’t disappoint at all.
Newman took on all challengers and his length and ability to counter the DE’s was what really impressed everyone.
Because of his performance, I wouldn’t be shocked if Newman picked up an offer today at some point, but that’s just me guessing off his performance.
