As we prepare for the Clemson game, is there any thought at all about looking ahead to potential matchups with Alabama or Michigan St.? With the playoff system being practically new, I am not sure what the philosophy is around the potential next game.
Do you assign a couple of GAs to evaluate tape on Alabama/Mich St now, so, that you can hit the ground running assuming a win. Or, do you simply wait until after the win and after you know the opponent? I ask this question since there are only 11-12 days between the semi-final and championship game games.
The pros, of course, are accustomed to the playoff system, but, I am not sure how they prepare. It also seems that in the pros, you have probably already faced your opponent (at least thru the conference title game) at least once during the regular season.
Interested to get everyone's thoughts.
