Velus Jones - a wide receiver - just decommitted from OU. Instead, he will keep his commitment to USC.

OU presently has no receivers (1 ATH) committed. Kid had a good chance to be a star here if he's all that.

USC - within their current meager list of recruits - presently has 5 WR's committed and possibly building on that total. 4 are 4* (including VJ) and the other is a 5*. He must believe he's one gifted WR if he thinks he is going to see the field any time soon there.

The lure of Southern California must be quite intoxicating to 'ballers with those odds. Never been there myself.

Wish the kid luck and hope he makes the grade/cut.

Ya it's hard to figure what is going through these kids heads. The USC staff must have a pretty solid sales pitch. Though Velus is an Alabama kid so the thought of living on the Cali coast with the beaches prolly sounds tempting. But you would think if he would choose OU in a heartbeat where he stands a great chance of seeing the field as a true freshman and could end up being the featured WR.

Velus Jones just decommitted?

He's currently off our list - on it for 1 day - and is now back on USC's list of recruits.

He must've wanted a better "deal" from USC when he teased us for just the one day. Guess he got it.

Go figure these kids.
