What has he done to harm anyone in any way? It's not for me to decide if his protest is for a worthy cause and it's not for me to decide if his form of protest is appropriate. The only thing I've ever known is what it's like to be a white, middle class male in the United States. I'm not about to judge any person of color or any person of a different social class for their point of view.
Yeah, good call. Don't let someone's search for racial equality intrude on your right to the NFL to escape your daily hardships. To be honest, I don't give a rat's ass if he's black white brown or yellow. I don't give a rat's ass if he was rich, poor, homeless or middle class. None of that crap means anything to me w/ regards to the NFL. What has he done to harm anyone? He's made the NFL political, that's what he's done. He's taken a sport that millions use to escape this crap from and made it political. And he did so by 'using' the one common bond we all have and share, our National Anthem. And it is indeed for me to decide...So eff him.

I agree, but I would argue that I've never had a job that didn't provide some sort of unnecessary distractions and it never seriously impacted my ability to earn a living. While it's hard to feel sorry for a bunch of men that make millions playing sports, broadcasting sports, and helping to produce sports, the truth is that they're all affected in some small way.
We're a nation that's built on freedom (of expression and others), but the caveat that most people fail to remember is that it's OK ONLY when it doesn't infringe on the freedoms of others. It's my opinion that these protests do somewhat infringe on others rights to show up to work, do their job, and earn a living for their families without unnecessary distractions.
I'm not quite sure what this has to do with anything.I don't plan on it. At all. As the last time I looked there were hundreds upon hundreds of non whites playing in the NFLm making money. So take your guilt trip somewhere else that might give a _ _ _ _ .

The idea that he's just a lazy player who didn't want to stand and when called out on it he took it to another level is fake news at its finest. These protests may not be anyone's cup of tea but they are fundamental to the first amendment. Two separate Supreme Court cases in the late '80's and early '90's in which ANTONESCALIA voted in the affirmative to allow flag burning as a protest are examples of actions we may all abhor but are protected by the constitution. When we go to war it's ostensibly to protect these rights.
Boom! Spot on. You have zero protection from the first amendment while working for your employer. People get fired all the time for things they say and do. The individual team owners can ban "protests" if they want and there is no recourse against it unless it violates their contract.Maybe I am wrong here but an employer has every right to fire you for being disruptive at work, divisive or even pushing your political views on others. In my opinion his biggest mistake was protesting on the job and thats exactly why no other team wants to pick him up now, he is divisive, disruptive and pushes his political views on others. Instead of getting out there and making a difference with all his free time now he chooses to sue the NFL owners for Collusion and now will write a book. How cute!
I don't know of one single Company or Business that would allow you to do what he did while you are on their time, a lot of Companies will even fire you if you post certain things on social media. An owner of a Company is not there to hear you whine and complain about something, they are in business to make money, they are not in business so you can have a platform for your cause. So now he wants to sue NFL owners for Collusion. Not hard to see why nobody wants him on their payroll. If you are a troublemaker at any job they will find a way to get rid of you and just try and get a job there ever again, won't happen. If its true he has been blacklisted by NFL Owners then he only has himself to blame. He should have protested on his own time, not on the job.
The problem is these players aren't just employees they are valuable and scarce commodities. I am not going to hold my breath waiting for Jerry Jones to fire a protesting DAK PRESCOTT. As it relates to dishonoring the flag or the national anthem why aren't all 86k in attendance escorted out of Memorial Stadium when in unison they scream SOONERS instead of "brave" at the end of the anthem?
You can't have it both ways...if Memorial Stadium is a business how is that different from the Cowboys? And as it relates to racism...exactly what are whites going to protest over...the high concession prices? The protest by black players has a legitimate antecedent. You may not like it but they have every right to do it and if the owners react in a way that is harmful to the players they are going to have to deal with a very powerful union.
I'm not quite sure what this has to do with anything.

I will go even further to say that if the players were white they wouldn't be attacked by the fans or the president.Because its a business, thats why 86,000 customers would not be escorted out. Those customers paid to see you perform, they did not pay hard earned money to hear your political views or watch a protest. Football is entertainment and a business not a political platform.
As for Jerry Jones or any other Owner, they are a slave to the money, if Dak Prescott started costing Jones money I guarantee you he would be gone in a second. The only reason the NFL has not done much about the kneeling is because they would be called the lefts favorite word these days, racists.
I would go even further and say if these players were all white it would not be tolerated.
They're not protesting for an equal opportunity to succeed, they're protesting for equal treatment by our police and justice system.Figure it out. Those they made it to the NFL did so not on sheer talent alone. They made it because they made decisions to do so. This country offers everyone an equal opportunity already. Some use it. Some don't. Some lean on skin color as a reason for failure. I see too many great people and I know too many wonderful people that never allowed their skin color and/or socio-economic status to prevent them from growing.
I will go even further to say that if the players were white they wouldn't be attacked by the fans or the president.

I’m sure I won’t buy it. He and his cronies have turned the NFL into the “No Fan League”. We need some concerned billionaires to step up and start a new league, maybe call it the PFL, Patriot Football League.
If they want to protest something worthwhile they should protest crime, gangs, drug dealers, wife beaters and just idiots in general.
