All of which is irrelevant to Chris Simms' situation. Unless you can prove Mack Brown and his coaches knew there were rogue boosters giving out $100 handshakes. And that he failed to take action once he knew.Mississippi has 12 big boosters the NCAA is looking at.
The NCAA says Ole Miss has 21 violations of which 15 are Level 1 the most serious.
These are not 100 dollar handshakes but are big time bucks.
The head coach Freeze (now gone) had to know about it.
OU & OU coaches never has and never will be a part of a big time boosters scandal
giving large amounts of money to recruits and team players
This I am 100% certain
15 years ago, OU came down hard on Bomar & Davis and Big Red Auto when they learned about it.

I applaud Coach Stoops on his toughness and the way he ran his program. He had many tough decisions to make regarding numerous legal, moral, and ethical happenings, and while I don't say I agree with all his decisions, I do believe he made those decisions with the best intentions for all involved. And for that I commend him.
But those rogue boosters who aided Bomar et al are far more akin to Simms' story in regards to boosters helping athletes without a coaching staff knowing about it than any of the red herring stuff you've thrown out there concerning Freeze, who knowingly and openly violated NCAA regulations.
