Eh, he got 3 years and turned in 3 losing seasons. I think that's enough of a chance at any major program. 3 seasons and no winning records would be a fireable offense at OU, Michigan, USC, Ohio St., etc. Because it shouldn't happen at schools like that.

Ya he certainly was given a chance to Texas to show improvement. It didn't happen. I believed Strong was a solid coach before the Texas debacle, and I believe he is still a solid coach. Texas just didn't work out for the man.
