Since Bob is so bad maybe we can go get Mark Dantonio. Then we'll never get blown out by a better team again, right?
Clemson is a great team. There's not much the coaching staff could done to beat Clemson. OU absolutely had more talent than shown last night, but not enough to win the way Clemson played. Maybe if the Tigers' second string QB had played instead of Watson, the score would have been closer. Like 26-17. But when you only score 17 points in today's offenses, you almost always lose. I am very pleased with the season. It was much better than expected. The coaches and players all performed at a higher level than most fans anticipated. Luck played a big part in the team's success which I'd take every year. Not having to play against TCU, Baylor and OSU's best was lucky. Just like the years when OU has had a lot of bad luck which resulted in less successful seasons....as in Sam's last season. Being lucky is a good thing when it happens. So this off season will be much easier to take for me than last. Now we just have to see who will be available next year. Then we can all start predicting again. I think 2016 will be another good season.....unless we are unlucky.
The game changers were the two stupid penalities that ended drives in the first half. Take those away and it's a different game.
I give more credit to the offense's poor performance in the second half. OU was leading at half time. Whatever Clemson did to make adjustments worked both offensively and defensively.
The score was misleading at halftime. Clemson whooped us in the first half too aside from our opening drive.
This is a very true statement. The OU defense was getting thrashed from the 2nd series on and it seemed as if Mike never made any adjustment during the entire game. As has been pointed out this was like the Texas game in many ways.
Those penalties hurt OU and might have cost them 6 -14 pts but Clemsons D was just dominating for the most part. I hope tgey beat Bama but man that Bama D is tough and CU will have their hands full plus as much as it pains me they are the two best teams in the nation.
Jcon I wouldnt worry about the poster cussing you as he just shows his ignorance. I bet his kids will be using the F word by the time they are talking and he will be high fiving them for using it.
Great season and I was highly surprised that our team made the playoffs but I dont think Mike is a great DC and feel Bob could get a better one.
I think we should just chalk a post like this up to disappointment. Dealing with disappointments separate the men from the babies.
The OP is allowed to feel disappointed, but just don't let it linger on too long.
Asking for Bob's job, or anyone's job, because they lost a single game against the #1 team in college football in a season of general over-achievement and happy surprises is just plain dumb.
We won the Big 12.
We made it to the Final 4.
We avenged 4 of 5 losses from a year ago.
We have an OC who is young and not too stubborn to change based on the talent he sees.
We found a heisman contender at QB.
We have two RBs that everyone in the country wishes for.
We have a great core at OL, including a freak of nature starting at Tackle.
We are deep with beasts and playmakers at DL.
We have a fast, smart defense again, and a DB coach that might be the best in the country.
I am happy to be a Sooner. Disappointed for sure, but damn me if I'm too stupid to see what we have!

Dude, I'm a Clemson fan, but aren't you overreacting? Stoops is one of the top 10 coaches in America.
Right now, Dabo has made Clemson a better team. But you know what? Nothing is forever. Stoops has made OU one the consistently better programs in America. You just made it to the playoff, for Petes sake. There are over 120 teams that would love to b where you are right now.

Happy New Year. I'm disappointed but I see no dang reason to be embarrassed.
They were a lot more physical and just as fast as OU. I don't see this has much to do with coaching. They were getting whipped in the trenches kind bad.
The Texas fans that are getting their rocks off are idiots. Clemson undefeated # 1 and we got beat. Texas sucks and beat us. See the difference Zig Zag. You're the one that should be embarrassed.
I'm looking at the positives. OU got so much coverage on ESPN and other media as well. Thats only one positive but I'm keeping the others to myself.

I'm as rough on the Coaches as anyone but come on. OU WAY exceeded any and everyone's expectations. I didn't drink the cool aid but kept my tongue quiet. We had a great year with some huge breaks. Stoops had a great year and did everything short of winning the NC.
OU is once again, State and Conference Champion. We do not have the talent to compete and beat the bigboys. Yes we have a few really good College Players but we got manhandled by Texass, got lucky with TCU. Had Boykin played, does anyone really think, he doesn't at least add 2 points to the outcome? You would have given up on Bear Bryant and Tom Osborne, huh?
Bear Bryant: was 0-7-1 in Bowl games from 1967-1974. And there were 2 more MNCs in his future.
Tom Osborne: was 0-7 in Bowl games from 1987-1993. And this was before he won a single MNC. He would later win 3. (He also had an overall losing bowl record at 12-13).
I am PROUD of the OU Sooners this year, from coaching staff to players. Great bounce back from the 2014 season. I am always proud of Big XII Championhips. I'm weird that way...
