Easy JCon. Man I understand the game tonight was frustrating. But take a step back and think about the expectation's on this team before the season. Man the thought of OU making the playoffs would have been beyond most everyone's wildes dreams!!! Losing one game to a damn good football team shouldn't let the overall success of the season go to waste bro. Bob made quite a few changes in his staff the last few years, and this season was a HUGE step forward. No reason to throw the towel in on Bob just because he lost to a damn good football team in the playoffs.

I didn't see it that way. I felt like I was watching a slo-mo replay of the Texas game where we knew the results and answer yet were still too dumb to correct.
 
Yes Clemson was the better team tonight. Makes me wonder though if Baylor and TCU had their starting qb playing would ou have been in this game. Mike Stoops has never been able to defend against a running QB. Really hope Bob takes a long hard look at his team and realizes his brother has to go.

You are an absolute idiot. New OC, new qb, 3 new starting wr's, new OL for the most part. We just lost to the No. 1 team in the country. What do you expect?

Well to be honest it really did feel like dejavu all over again. It really did. I agree the lack of adjustments was pretty concerning, just like the Texas game. But really, even if the defense had adjusted and even limited Clemson to 1 TD in the 2nd half, the offense just really had no answer to Clemson's defense. Then losing Mixon and Perine and it ended up being the nails in the coffin. OU won't win many games only putting 17pts on the board.
Clemson no doubt watched the Texas game and saw how soft OU was in the middle and just enforced their will. I remember on the pay board, even before the Texas game, Damian Mackey made a post talking about how soft OU was in the middle of the defense. Wow....he turned out to be incredibly correct.

Its easy to get upset and say certain things about the game, coaches, plyers etc but at the end of the day it is just a game. The sun will rise tomorrow, I will still be above ground hopefully and as long as that happens what else matters. Some people just take teams winning and losing way to serious. Sure I wish we had won and I am pretty let down we didn't win but at the end of the day ot is just a game and we lost. We win some, we lose some. No team in the history of sport wins every game they play. And yes the haters will come on here to hate but thats because they have no life and they relish in someone elses misery. Oh and there will be another team lose tonight and their fans will feel what we are feeling so its not like we have the market cornered on that. OU has 7 National Titles, some teams cannot even claim to have one. Clemson has one from what back in the 80's? I guess they are just due if they win it all and I hope they do. Just my 2 cents. Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year!

TBH, I'm being devil's advocate here. Most here that know me would understand that. Those that don't just show their board immaturity.

I like how people like to fall back on preseason expectations though. This wasn't the preseason. This was the playoffs. This was a #4 ranking and expectation to win and we got dominated. Embarrassed. If you're not embarrassed, I'm proud of your ostrich disease.

Well heck ya it's embarassing man. I won't doubt that. It sucks losing and getting dominated like that while the entire country is watching. And living down here in Texas I have already heard it from my Longhorn, Hogs, and LSU buddies. But ya know what...every single one of them would have LOVED to had their teams in the playoff like OU was. It makes me feel better to know they are talking trash about OU losing, mostly because they are jealous that OU was in the playoff and their teams weren't. JCon, OU had a damn good season. Moste everyone left this OU team for dead after the Texas loss. But this team went on a run and made it to the playoffs man. Tonight's game was embarassing, but after the sting of losing wears off in a few days I think you will feel differently and appreciate the season for what it was.

Exactly. We got beat by a better team. Not sure what to think of the 3 man front but Mike Stoops knows more than I do. I do know that our safety Thomas scares no one coming across the middle and is out of position and taking bad angles quite often. I thought the tackling was pretty bad tonight and it let to a ton of yards after contact.
