I've grown away from pro football as it seems like each game is a prison yard rumble complete with "professional" wrestling antics, which seem to increase each year.
The many lengthy, "all-about-me", "TV loves it" routines are now too much of what NFL football is these days.....as Commissioner Robert Goodall calls it "spontaneous fun".
And there seems to be a conspiracy among broadcasters not to offend the most offensive on this crap.
Some of these antics have lost games, yet no repercussions follow.
Unfortunately, much of this showboating has found its way to college football....like posing in the end zone to celebrate a score (in the middle of a game), dropping the football before crossing the goal line, standing over a fallen opponent following a sack, etc. It's a mystery to me why coaches can't or won't outlaw this. It represents to me another decline in sportsmanship and civility....which extends from sports to politics now.
