I am continuing my series on collecting data on OU recruiting and how the players actually performed. The 2015 class picked up OU's greatest offensive threat of all time and a man who would not stop putting points on the board in Austin Seibert. But there were other good players too. I am still working on all the info to put into these posts, so if you have any suggestions then throw them my way.

Rank: 14th
Best Player: Dede Westbrook (5.8)
Biggest Gem: Cody Ford (5.8)
Biggest Bust: Ricky DeBerry (5.9)
My Overall Thoughts:
  • When paired with the 2014 class, it is easy to see how we became so absolutely dominate on offense from 2015-2019. We added a lot of offensive firepower in this class headlined by Dede Westbrook, Cody Ford, Bobby Evans, and Dru Semia
  • The biggest strength of this class was the O line. The biggest weakness of this class was a tie between linebacker and defensive back. I am adding defensive back because we struck out on more players there.
  • While this class did not have the top end star power that 2014 had, this class also was on a national championship level when it comes to offensive recruiting.
  • Neville Gallimore was our first really good defensive recruit since Ogbo in 2013. Although I would argue that it took Alex Grinch's scheme to really allow Gallimore to thrive. The struggle to find elite defenders, especially in the secondary really shows. You can see how this set us up for failure for the upcoming years, especially in the secondary.
  • A lot of boom or bust again in this class. You were likely a major contributor or didn't do anything.
  • No five stars in this one
Below are the players. Let me know if you want to argue some of my rankings.
