1st off. I'm slacking on my job. I'll admit, I have not rewatched the ISU game because...well...I watched that shit live and I don't care to witness it again. So if one guy is subbing in more for another guy, I may have missed it. You may be thinking "Neal, why aren't you giving us delp?". Well, I'm gonna use my soap box here for a second, in regards to the team.

Mike, you have lost it. You teach a passive scheme. It permeates into the very essence of the defensive players. When shit hits the fan, people always fall back to training, and instincts developed from that training. You teach a 2 gap, lack of pass rush, 8 yards off coverage scheme. And you're gonna act surprised that your guys don't tackle well. YOU TEACH THEM TO BE PASSIVE!! THEY CAN'T JUST FLIP A SWITCH.

Also, I'm disappointed in Riley. We allowed Smith for Baylor to get comfortable, and we let a freaking 3rd stringer get comfortable. Riley approved that game plan. Riley (obviously) did not hold Mike accountable for Baylor, and allowed ISU to happen. After the Baylor game I thought it was odd, how many of the players were sorta dismissing how close a game it was. "Yea that sucked, but hey, we got a win". That comes from the top, and I hoped it wasn't a sign of worse things, but it appears as if Riley, and therefore the staff, didn't hold each other or the players very accountable for that showing, and allowed ISU to happen. Winning masks a ton, but great coaches are the ones who have a great attention to detail, and never allow complacency or mediocrity. It seems as though, from interviews and the play against ISU, that mediocrity was allowed by Riley.

QB: Mayfield / Murray / Schafer
We better have a dat gum package for Murray vs. Texas. Our offense w/out Lamb and Adams blows, if they aren't good to go, gotta get creative.

RB: Adams / Sermon / Anderson
I got no complaints here, these guys ball out (sans Anderson).

FB: Flowers / Meier / Hall
Best hands on the team belong to our fullback, FML.

YWR: Andrews / Calcaterra / Morris
We need to see more Calc

HWR: Jones / Tease
Never thought I'd miss Basquine so much.

XWR: Lamb / Smallwood / Miller
Lamb is incredible. Offense can't move the ball consistently without him.

ZWR: Brown / Badet / Mead
Even Mead's pass was soft.

RT: Evans / Mittermeier
RG: Samia / Ford
C: Wren / Alvarez
LG: Powers / Ford
LT: Brown / Evans

Jack: Obo / Jackson
Obo is on pace for 25 tackles for loss. In Mike's scheme. That equates to about 35 TFL in a competent DC's defense.

NG: Overton / Romar / Faamatau
Q balling out.

DT: Gallimore / Lampkin / Lott
Lampkin got penetration, I'm sure Mike hates that.

DE: Ward / Bledsoe / Mann
Mann needs more PT.

WLB: Beal / Mead
Annual white walk on LB in the 2 deep. #Kish

MLB: Murray / JMT
What the F did he do to get that personal foul?

SLB: Kelly / Jackson
Kelly reminds me of a my ex's Chihuahua, always going for the ankles.

CB: Thomas / Norwood
Thomas is lucky Jordan Parker is hurt.

CB: Motley / Brown
Who will be the captains next year? Has anyone thought about that? Who embodies what you want from your leaders? My vote is for Motley and Murray. F the upperclassmen, these 2 are the only ones with some dog in them. Same ? on offense.

SS: Parker / Haughton
If Haughton wasn't Parker's backup, I'd say I'm eager to see Parker graduate.

FS: Johnson / Barnes
I'm scared for Johnson.

NB: Johnson / Sylvie
I hate that Barnes and Sylvie are being mentored by Thomas and Parker.

'18 outlook:
QB: Murray / Kendall / Schafer
Kendall leaves probably.
RB: Adams / Sermon / Sutton
Best duo in the conference.
FB: Meier / Hall / Deberry
I highly doubt Ricky is here in '18
YWR: Calcaterra / Robinson / Morris
Only now are the coaches realizing they should get a TE, brilliant group.
HWR: Crawford / Basquine / Jones
Gosh I hope Crawford doesn't flip to Texas.
XWR: Lamb / Miller / Johnson
If Miller is even here next year.
ZWR: Brown / Rambo / Taylor
If Lamb is out for any extended period of time, we might consider burning Rambo's shirt.
RT: Ealy / Samia / Mittermeier
RG: Samia / Dalton / Moore
C: Humphrey / Alvarez / Roberson
LG: Powers / Ford / Hayes
LT: Evans / Swenson / Walker

WDE: Jackson / Gumbs / Redmond
I say WDE, because I think we fire Mike and hire a 4-3 DC.
NG: Overton / Faamatau / McKinney
Group starting to look better.
DT: Gallimore / Lampkin / Lott
Galli better get it together.
DE: Bledsoe / Mann / Thomas
Mann's emergence helps
WLB: Bolton / Draper / Asamoah
Bolton has some dog in him at least.
MLB: Murray / JMT / ?
I sometimes imagine, the new LB coach next year coming into meetings and being like "WTF were yall doing last year? Yea we aren't doing that no more".
SLB: Kelly / Daley / Jones
Hopefully Daley pushes Kelly.
CB: Parker / Norwood / Baldwin
Soooooo ready for Thomas to be gone.
CB: Motley / Brown / Broiles
Motley could be an All American next year.
SS: Haughton / Sylvie / Fields
Haughton has actually shown to be a willing tackler most of the year.
FS: Barnes / McKinney / Yell
Please Proctor, we need you.
NB: Sylvie / Broiles / Fields
whole lotta meh up in huur.
