The sky is not falling. Let’s think logically about this for a second.. Alley might have been the “play caller” but this was BVs defense. He’d always be seen as just an extension of BV here. West Virginia came in with more money, all of his guys from Jacksonville State, AND he’s likely getting full autonomy there. That was likely not the case here. Not only with BV, but you gotta remember that Bates, Hall, Valai etc. are not Alleys guys. They’re all older and have DC level experience.. so while he might have been the play caller here, I’m sure the dynamic was probably a little weird. He’s going to the THE guy at WVU. And the money doesn’t hurt.
