I read somewhere today that the sky isn't falling. Bledsoe yesterday. V Jones one of two new commitments today. This is a big deal. Maybe Velus saw the neighborhood around USC and figured if nothing else, Norman is a lot closer, and infinitely safer.

This is a big get. He can play. If he arrives this summer ready to go to work, he could play in 2016 and be a contributor.

NIce get..........but are we getting any big time lineman on either side of the ball? As we have seen, skill players alone can't win championships.

I think OU is okay on DL. Daniels was a kid you make a spot for, but wasn't a huge need in this class. Already have some OL committed and one more big target yet to make a decision. DE and LB type players I think was a bigger need than DL this class.

But you're right...OU needs better lines to compete for real championships.

this is a very good addition. I noticed that juco WR Ryan Parker is no longer on our list. Hearing he is having grade issues.

We were competitive until late in Q3... sparty vs bama, not so much
Good God we were ahead at halftime and had we not lost our best LB could've held their offense down in the second half too. An OU fan saying we were manhandled is either a Texas/OSU fan posing to be an OU fan, or has a severe football knowledge deficiency.

The Peach Bowl.....Lol :D:D

The Peach Bowl is now one of the big six bowls. and Ole Miss was the team who beat Alabama in the regular season. The Peach Bowl is now a big deal and equal to the Rose or Sugar, not in terms of history, but in terms of pay out and clout.

Because of that win over Ole Miss, TCU ended up number three in the final poll of both the coaches' and AP polls. Which means they were the highest ranked team not in the championship game. That Peach Bowl was a very big deal in the first year of the four team playoff.

With or without our best linebacker, Clemson proved to be the better overall team against OU mainly due to its defense (zero points in the second half) and its great (and healthy) quarterback....two things that OU wasn't accustomed to facing last season.
OU wasn't necessarily "manhandled", but was defeated decisively by a better team.

The reason I laugh is not the bowl itself, but K2C trying to use that bowl as a mark of how it made the SEC apparently look bad by TCU blowing out Ole Miss. TCU was the Big XII co-champ, and likely deserved a playoff spot, while Ole Miss finished what...3rd in the SEC West DIVISION. And who cares who they beat during the regular season. You wanna use that defense, then I can counter with they got shutout and dominated by Arkansas at the end of the year.....yes...Arkansas!!! No...actually...this supports my position even better since it gives a better gauge of how Ole Miss was playing towards the end of the year, whereas their Alabama win was in the first half of the season.

The OU/Clemson game this year was the Big XII's top dog, and the ACC's top dog taking on each other.

As K2C would say.....The End.

Clemson made what I call a lucky play with that int near the goal line. If Mayfield throws that ball 2 inches higher its a touchdown, Score 31-24, who knows that could have sparked the defense. Yes Clemson was the better team that night but OU had a chance to win and soes win if that int didnt take place IMO

A lucky play?? So does that mean every time OUs defense made INT's during the year they were lucky plays since they are capitalizing on a QBs mistakes?? But to take the stance the OU does win that game if they make that TD is a massive stretch....at best. Cuz even if they make that TD, OU still needs 2 more TDs to take the lead.

This is great news. Glad to see we picked up another quality skill player. Love it when we can flip a guy who is a commit at another school to come to OU. I too would like to see us get a couple more highly ranked O and D lineman and an LB in this class.

FWIW, watch out for how Texas finishes its recruiting in the next 11 days. Word has it that the Horns are picking up steam.

This was a very nice pick up as OU needs WRs...now on to LBs as we are dire need for quality & depth. We really need to flip a LB or two, even three.

Only means something to other Big XII teams. A Big XII title doesn't carry as much weight these days as it use to be. But it's better than not winning it that's for sure.
"A big 12 title doesn't mean much these days". There you have it folks, one of the most ignorant posts of all time.

Yes, a lucky play, most linebackers dont make one handed catches back behind them and over their head. It was a great play by him, but still lucky. As far as winning your right probably not.

You're right, most LBs don't make that play. That's why it was a great play. I totally agree with you that Baker should have got it up a littler higher and it was a likely TD. But man that LB just made an incredible play.
