OU comes out flat with poor effort in 2 straight games after the biggest win for the program in several years. Offensive play calls were so predictable. Finally able to establish the run with a RB looking like he's OU worthy but then back to WR's on sweeps and reverses. Farouq already giving poor effort then they run him up the middle so he fumbles in the middle instead of allowing Walker to carry it. Gimmick plays on 2pt attempts. Wasting a timeout in a very close game on a punt. Have a good chance to ice the game after the Downs INT but Lebby plays "not to lose." ku lines everyone up in the box to stop the run but Lebby is afraid to throw the ball. (Play to win and you have a good chance of several open receivers.) Prevent defense on the last ku drive when they only trail by 1 pt and have over 2 minutes to play with. Waste 6 seconds on the ensuing kick return to only get to the 25 yd line, where they would have been to begin with if you fair catch the kick. Play action fake to the RB on next to the last play of the game, as if the defense would bite on the fake. The delay for the fake allows the defender to hit DG while he's throwing wasting a crucial play. (Should have had DG do a QB draw to pick up 8-10 yds and call the final timeout.) Last play call to throw the ball in the middle of 6 players instead of to Anderson in the corner of the endzone. I've been a big BV fan but this game really is a head scratcher. OU should have won big but loses by 1. Lots of questionable play calling. Poor game management. Brent needs to have some serious tutor sessions with Stoops, Swinney and Snyder about game management and when to intervene with his assistant coaches.
